2009 list published 11.08.2009. Revised 30.08.2009, 05.09.2009, 10.01.2010
For detailed guidance on using this list, and on grades in general, please see the Help page (in the menu on the left). It answers many frequently asked questions.
This revision includes the new January halfyear Rapidplay grades, based on games played up to the end of November 2009. Standardplay grades are still based on games up to the end of May 2009. However, they take account of corrections to game results and players' details. This has resulted in 120 changes in Standard grade (most often by just one point) since the definitive start-of-season September list. Players whose Standard grade has changed since September are highlighted in blue, and their September grade is still shown if you inspect their full details.
For full details on an individual player, click his grading code ("Ref"). Among other things this will show his complete history of grades back to 1994.
New Grades
Remember that New Grades have been official since July 2009. In the history section (see full details above), grades up to and including January 2009 are Old Grades; July 2009 and January 2010 are New. However, the grades shown in a List of Players are always new currency, both for the current grade and for "Previous".
For information on New Grades, see "New Grades" in the menu. This page also gives details of the revised calculations for junior grades.
Inactive players
By default you will see "active" players only (those with a current grade). But note that you can, if you wish, include "inactive" players who are not currently graded but have been graded in the past. Deceased players are treated as inactive even if they have a current grade.
